The Haines RediCare Fabric and Paediatric Tourniquet is a single patient use solution designed to reduce the risk of cross-contamination associated with reusable tourniquets. A landmark study published in the Medical Journal of Australia found that 61 per cent of reusable tourniquets were colonised with bacterial species not normally found on the upper arm, with multi-resistant organisms including MRSA detected in one quarter of those tested.

Measuring 35cm long by 1.5cm wide, this soft fabric tourniquet is suitable for paediatric patients and accommodates a variety of limb shapes and sizes. Its simple click buckle with both slow and quick release mechanisms, combined with a thumb grip for easy strap adjustment, makes it straightforward for clinicians to apply and remove, while remaining comfortable enough for use throughout a patient’s entire stay.
