The Covidien Kangaroo ePump Feeding Set with Safety Screw Spike (formerly 775100) is a complete enteral feeding system designed for safe, controlled solution administration. The primary purpose of this feeding set is to stop or reduce free-flow, making it a highly secure alternative to standard gravity-fed bags. It features an integrated Safety Screw Spike, a critical safety measure that actively prevents the unwanted, accidental free-flowing of the solution. If the pump machine reaches a predetermined time, dispenses a predetermined amount, or if the power goes out, the feeding solution will not continue to flow gravitationally. This ensures that the proper dosage is precisely maintained exactly as programmed after the machine stops.
