Smith & Nephew Allevyn Thin  Dressing is sterile and made from polyurethane matrix and a polyurethane top film designed for use on a variety of wounds. Allevyn Thin is capable of managing low to moderate exudative surface wounds including minor burns and abrasions. This dressing can be used for the management of partially thick wounds such as leg ulcers, donor sites, post-op wounds, pressure ulcers and second degree burns under a health professional’s direction. Allevyn Thin Dressing should not be used with oxidizing agents like hydrogen peroxide solutions or hypochlorite solutions. In addition, this dressing should not be used with exposed muscle, tendon or bone, on damaged or sensitive skin and where a risk of drying out exists.

Instructions For Use

1. Choose the suitable dressing size. Prepare the surrounding skin of your wound and clean it by removing excess moisture.
2. Peel back the protector papers and anchor Allevyn Thin on your wound overlapping the edges of the wound by at least 2cm. Ensure the dressing edges are not wrinkled by smoothing the dressing into place.
3. Allevyn Thin can remain in place for up to 7 days. If you want to remove the dressing, gently lift one corner of it away from the wound.
