Smith & Nephew Allevyn Ag Adhesive Dressing is designed for exudate absorption and managing partially to fully thick wounds including ulcers (venous, arterial, diabetic), pressure sores, donor sites, surgical incisions, surgical excisions and burns (1st and 2nd degree). This foam dressing is capable of keeping the wound environment moist and precluding bacterial contamination of the wound. Allevyn Ag Adhesive Dressing is easy to use and has a breathable top film, a foam core, a non-adherent wound contact layer and profiled edges.

Instructions For Use

1. Choose the suitable dressing size for you. Clean and prepare the surrounding area of your wound. SKIN-PREP Protective Wipes are used for protecting fragile skin. Peel back these protective papers and anchor the dressing over your wound. Ensure the dressing edges are not wrinkled by smoothing it into place.
2. Allevyn Ag Adhesive should be inspected frequently in the early stages of treatment. These dressings can remain in place until you can see exudate through the outer waterproof film and 3/4 from the edge of the dressing.
3. Gently lift one corner of the dressing away from the wound to remove it.

Allevyn Ag Gentle Border is designed for external use only. It is not compatible with oxidizing agents or hydrogen peroxide as these break down the dressing’s absorbent polyurethane component. Allevyn Ag Gentle does not treat infected wounds, but if you use in on an infected wound, remember to manage it in accordance with institutional clinical protocols. This dressing is not compatible with topical antimicrobials. Remember to stop usage if reddening or sensitization occurs.
