Antimicrobial, drainable foam dressing for lightly to heavily exuding infected wounds and burns
Mepilex® Transfer Ag is an antimicrobial, drainage-capable wound contact layer with which the exudate is transferred to a secondary dressing, eg Mextra. You can use it in the treatment of slightly to very heavily exuding wounds or burns.
Its antimicrobial effectiveness reduces the germ load. As shown in in vitro tests, Mepilex Transfer Ag can inactivate germs (bacteria and fungi) within 30 minutes for up to 14 days. According to an international consensus, the germ load can be reduced through antimicrobial effectiveness. It also acts as an antimicrobial barrier in wounds that are at high risk of infection or re-infection.
Mepilex Transfer Ag adheres gently to the wound thanks to Safetac® – the original contact layer with silicone adhesion that minimizes pain. This makes dressing changes less painful for your patients.
